No Smoking
Today I saw a piece of news in the newspaper that a middle school student was put into prison for stealing money. It wasn’t a big thing， but it did surprise me. He said he did so only for buying cigarettes.
As is known to us all， smoking too much is bad for our health， especially for teenagers. It does great harm not only to our bodies， but also to our minds. For smokers， it is a waste of money， and causes all kinds of diseases. What’s more， many fires are caused by careless smokers.
Today， more and more people begin to know about the harm of smoking. Some of them have given up smoking and others say it’s hard to give it up but they will try their best to do so. If you are not a smoker， don’t start.
We middle school students are the builders of the motherland in the future. Now we should put our hearts into study， make greater progress and form good life habits. As to the young smokers， they should take actions and make up their minds to give up smoking at once.
请勿吸烟
今天在报纸上看到一则新闻：一名中学生因为偷钱而被送进监狱。虽说这不是一件重大的事，但确实让我大吃一惊。他说他这样做只是为了买烟。
众所周知，过度吸烟有害于健康，对青少年尤其如此。吸烟不仅对我们的身体造成严重伤害，而且也会对我们的心理造成严重危害。对于吸烟者来说，这不仅浪费金钱，还会导致各种疾病的发生，另外，许多火灾也是由粗心的吸烟者引起的。
今天，越来越多的人开始认识到吸烟的危害性。他们中有的人已经戒了烟，有的人说戒烟很难，但他们会尽力而为。倘若你还不是一个吸烟者，那就不要尝试。
我们中学生是祖国未来的建设者，当下应该集中精力学习，日益进步，养成良好的生活习惯。至于那些年轻的吸烟者们，他们应该行动起来，下定决心马上戒烟。
