高度近视是一种比较常见的眼疾,配戴眼镜其作用往往不大,甚至毫无功效。患有高度近视的人又常常容易发生视网膜脱离。按张福星氏和赵东生氏近年对高度近视和视网膜脱离采用眼球缩短术治疗均收到一定效果。我院从1957年起,在党的领导下,采用眼球缩短术治疗了10只眼睛。病例选择上包括有单纯高度近视和高度近视合并有视网膜剥离者。我们进行了10例手术,术中术后均没发生合并症。愈后均收到较满意的效果。感到这种手术今后有继续开展的价值。兹将我们手术步骤和典型病例加以介绍,供同道参考,希指正。
