This article studies Pat Buck ’s “Trilogy of Rebirth” from the perspective of trauma and ethics. The study found that the protagonist in the story, because of the extreme situation of the war trauma, appeared the divisions of the self within the subject with the other; the other was either the female lesser in hysterical disease or the unfamiliar one By. Victims of traumas in the story need to acknowledge and accept the others within the subject, and contemporary British society also needs to recognize and accept the wounded that return after the war. Therefore, the study suggests that the recognition and acceptance of the other is an ethical behavior.
