在我国当前应试教育的大环境下,学校课堂教育成为了学生获取知识的唯一源泉,课前课后都是围绕着相关课程知识学习,这种教育使得相当一部分中学生逐步远离了学校的图书馆,使原本作为学校图书馆的主要读者变成了“潜在”的读者群,中学图书馆在中学教育系统中的地位逐步被弱化和边缘化。因此,如何充分发挥图书馆在教育中的应有作用,把这些“潜在”的中学生读者重新拉回图书馆,这是我们广大教育工作者尤其是中学学校图书馆工作者面临的一个重大研究课题。
