上个月刚刚在巴塞罗那举行的“全球移动大会(Mobile World Congress)”是由早先的“3GSM大会”改名而来,这一改名旨在反映当前整个全球无线通信产业的转型,即移动通信正在由3G走向4G。展会上,在厂商们令人眼花缭乱的产品、技术和业务展示背后,是一场可能决定全球下一代无线通信(即“4G”)未来走向的关键战役,LTE(Long Term Evolution)、WiMAX和UMB(Ultra Mobile Broadband)等不同标准的支持者们正在竞相争取支持。
The “Mobile World Congress”, just last month in Barcelona, was renamed from the earlier “3GSM Conference,” aiming to reflect the current global transformation of the wireless communications industry, namely Mobile is moving from 3G to 4G. At the show, behind the dazzling array of products, technologies and business presentations of vendors are a key battle that could determine the future of the next generation of wireless communications worldwide, or “4G”, LTE (Long Term Evolution), WiMAX And UMB (Ultra Mobile Broadband) and other different standards of supporters are competing for support.
