From October 21 to October 22, 2013, a new Symposium on Theory of Local Records was held in Wuhan. The theme of the Symposium was the compilation and revision of the basic theory of local records and the newly edited local magazines. The meeting is sponsored by the China Local Records Guidance Group Office and the Wuhan Local Records Office. More than 50 experts and scholars from all over the country, including local intellectuals and scientific research institutes attended the conference. More than 30 persons in charge of local chronicles in each district and county in Wuhan City and leaders of Chi Chi organizations in surrounding cities and counties in Wuhan attended the conference.
