中、日、美金属有机化学学术讨论会于1980年6月10日至13日在北京科学会堂举行。出席这次会议的有中国代表61名,美国代表19名,日本代表13名,西德代表1名,挪威代表1名。中国科学院上海有机化学研究所付所长黄耀曾教授作为这次会议的联合委员会主席宣布讨论会开幕,并致开幕词。美方主席筒井稔教授和日方主席石井义郎教授也讲了话。开幕式后即转入学术讨论。讨论会以大会报告和墙报展讲两种形式进行。在近二天半的时间内由28位科学家向大会作了学术报告(其中日方9篇、美方12篇、中方7篇)。与会者热烈地讨论,自由地交换了学术思想。12日下午举行了墙报展讲讨论
China, Japan and the United States Metalorganic Chemistry Symposium was held June 10, 1980 to 13 in Beijing Science Hall. The meeting was attended by 61 representatives from China, 19 from the United States, 13 from Japan, 1 from West Germany and 1 from Norway. Professor Huang Yaozeng, the director of the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, announced the opening of the seminar as the chairman of the joint committee of the conference and delivered an opening speech.
