When I graduated from a large public high school in Florida, I was a graduate representative of the farewell word. At that time I was admitted to the top liberal arts Swarthmore, studying physics. After graduating from college, I worked as a town journalist for a while before joining the PhD program in physics at the Chapel Hill campus at the University of North Carolina. Soon I was involved in one of the studies, which made me quite a good article, although I was not interested in it. I finished my doctorate very quickly, but it did not really have to be that fast because my wife was still studying chemistry at the graduate school. So I wrote a grant application and submitted it in the name of a mentor to continue working in the same lab as a postdoc
