分析了９０年代初我国科技情报界出现的改“情报”为“信息”现象是科技界为赢得生存和发展的机会而被迫作出但却又是明智的选择，它有深刻的时代背景，并着重从国内外的使用习惯和当前的信息形势方面论述了要激活潜在信息需求，加大科技信息的改革力度。
This paper analyzes the phenomena of “information” which is changed into “information” in China’s scientific and technological intelligence community in the early 1990’s and is forced to make but a wise choice for the scientific community to win the chance of survival and development. It has profound historical background and Focus on the use of domestic and foreign habits and the current information situation discussed the need to activate the potential of information and increase scientific and technological information reform efforts.
