Fulvic acid is a polymer organic acid with a variety of active functional groups and an anion charge, easily complexed with metal ions, and can also be combined with ammonium. This chemical property may have detoxification significance in medicine. This article tested the effect of sodium fulvate (SF) on acute ammonium toxicity in mice to investigate the possibility of SF treatment in acute liver failure and elevated serum ammonium. Methods and Results I. Effect of SF on the mortality rate of mouse ammonium poisoning Mice weighing 18-22 gm were randomly divided into four groups. Two groups were given intraperitoneally and the other two groups were given intragastrically.
