The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded the 2002 Nobel Prize for Literature to the Hungarian writer Kertes Imre in recognition of his profound portrayal of the painful experience of the vulnerable individual against the mighty brutal powers and his unique autobiographical literary style. Concentration Camp in Imre Youth left a deep imprint on his literary creation. “Life without Destiny” is an autobiographical novel by the writer himself. His works show a strong sense of pessimistic fatalism. The end of the novel points out the unique theme of the work, namely, the happiness in concentration camps. This article tries to explore the theme and philosophical foundation revealed by the author from the narrative structure and expression technique of this novel, as well as the realistic social and historical significance of this novel.
