环境艺术教学设计在我国已有了五十多年的教育历史。在文革前后时期处在比较低低谷的阶段,发展低迷。但进入改革开放时期以来,随着市场经济的介入,由市场的需求,本环境艺术设计专业迎来了新的发展天地。进入二十一世纪,环境艺术设计专业的现状并没有达到期望的效果,造成的原因有教育分配不均衡,国内环境艺术设计教育没有统一的评估框架和教学理念,导致许多中等学校的课程和配置相当随意,致使院校的毕业生水平不一,造成了中国教育资源的浪费,而且无法向社会输送优秀人才。
