漳州作为台胞主要祖籍地,开展“开漳圣王”等有地方特色的祖根文化交流,有利于两岸民间交流交往,增进亲情乡谊,增进中华文化认同,促进祖国和平统一。“开漳圣王”文化是历史留给漳州的一份十分宝贵的文化遗产,进一步挖掘、开发“开漳圣王”文化资源, 对加快海峡西岸经济区建设具有现实而又深远的意义。
