在美国内华达州大沙漠的深处,有一座年轻而又举世闻名的城市——拉斯维加斯。 拉斯维加斯是西班牙语的译音,意思是“有水草的地方”。八十多年前的内华达,是美国最穷的一个州,为扶持该州发展经济,当时的美国联邦政府既未给该州以物资援助,也未向该州提供优惠贷款,而是特许该州可以开办赌搏等娱乐行业。远近的赌徒闻讯纷至沓来,希望在这里寻求更大的刺激,实现自己的发财梦。拉斯维加斯的赌搏业于是应运而发,一个原本仅有两万多居民的荒凉小镇,逐渐发展成一座世界级的赌城。
In the depths of the Nevada desert in the United States, there is a young and world-famous city - Las Vegas.
