党章规定:共产党员要按期交纳党费。然而近年来有的党员视党费为额外负担,不要不交、不催不交,时有拖欠;一些留职停薪和外出打工的党员一走数年,已浑然不知自己是个党员,“党费意识”早已飞到九霄云外;更有甚者,个别“聪明人”竟然把“公款消费”的触角伸向了党费这块圣洁的领地。报载,河南省鄢陵县某村党支部书记卢永周、副书记卢盘根、支部委员陈胖等人于1987年至1993年先后动用公款为全村27名党员交纳了党费。事发后,该支部“一班人”分别受到开除党籍、留党查看等处分,27名党员被责令补交了6年的党费。自觉交纳党费,是共产党员组织观念的表现,是对党员的起码要求。战争年代,“从经济上帮助党”是党的号召,也是每一个党员和积极分子的自觉行动。上自中央领导,下至普通战士,都主动把从牙缝中挤
