(2012年8月6日)今天,我荣幸地会同近700名中国地质学家从盛夏的北半球中国大陆,来到初春的南半球澳大利亚布里斯班,参加第34届国际地质大会,与来自110个国家和地区的5000多名代表齐聚一堂,共同探讨国际地学领域的前沿问题,共同致力于推动地球科学的发展和繁荣。我谨代表中国国土资源部和中国地质学会,向大会的顺利举办表示热烈祝贺,向国际地质科学联合会,澳大利亚资源能源与旅游部、澳大利亚地球科学理事会等大会的举办方表示衷心的感谢,向与会的各位嘉宾、各位同行朋友们表示诚挚的问候!
(August 6, 2012) Today, I am honored to meet nearly 700 Chinese geologists from the northern hemisphere in mainland China in midsummer to Brisbane in Australia in the early spring to participate in the 34th International Geological Congress, from 110 More than 5,000 representatives from countries and regions gathered together to discuss cutting-edge issues in the field of international geosciences and work together to promote the development and prosperity of earth sciences. On behalf of the Ministry of Land Resources of China and the Geological Society of China, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the successful convening of the conference and to all the organizers of the International Geoscience Federation, the Australian Department of Energy, Resources and Tourism, the Australian Geoscience Council, I would like to extend my sincere greetings to all the honored guests and their friends in the conference!
