立定跳远是近年来《国家学生体质健康标准》测试的内容之一,是测试学生下肢肌肉爆发力及身体协调能力的发展水平,主要是增强下肢力量,发展蹬地起跳能力。它要求下肢与髋部肌肉协调快速用力,并与上肢的摆动相配合,所以它也需要一定的灵巧性。在练习中通过采用适宜的练习手段和方法,来提高膝、踝、髋三个关节的协调用力及爆发用力的能力,可以提高立定跳远的成绩。
