To hold high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory is to continue to push forward the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics initiated by Deng Xiaoping and guide Deng Xiaoping’s theory in our entire undertaking and all work. Holding high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping means understanding and accurately grasping the scientific system and essence of Deng Xiaoping Theory and upholding, enriching and developing the core contents of Deng Xiaoping Theory in the great practice of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. So, what is the core of Deng Xiaoping Theory? When we observe Deng Xiaoping Theory and Practice, the development and changes since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee and the generational characteristics and the theme of the world, we can find it the word “development.”
