屏边苗族自治县栽培杉木历史悠久,原始种源来自毗邻的文山县。随着时间的推移,特别是随着解放后营造大面积杉木林的需要,县林科所的不断研究和优选,已逐渐形成了本地的环境型地理种源一一屏边杉木种源。屏边县地处南亚热带湿润季风气候类型区,在全国杉木种源区划中,属南亚热带低山丘陵种源区的滇桂边境山地亚区,生态环境与南岭山地杉木中心产区相近
Pingbian Miao Autonomous County has a long history of cultivation of Chinese fir, the original provenance from the adjacent Wenshan County. With the passage of time, especially with the need to create a large area of fir forest after the liberation, the continuous research and optimization of the county forestry institute has gradually formed the local environmental geography provenance-a source of Chinese fir. Pingbian County is located in the subtropical humid monsoon climate zone. It belongs to the Yunnan-Guangxi border mountain sub-region in the source region of the southern subtropical hilly region in China. The ecological environment is similar to that of the Nanling mountain pine center.
