艰苦奋斗既是中华民族的传统美德,也是中国共产党人的政治本色。中国共产党的三代领导人毛泽东、邓小平、江泽民也一贯倡导艰苦奋斗。回顾十六大刚刚闭幕不久时,胡锦涛总书记便带领中央书记处全体同志专程前往西柏坡,指出:“一个没有艰苦奋斗精神作支撑的民族,是难以自立自强的;一个没有艰苦奋斗精神作支撑的国家,是难以发展进步的;一个没有艰苦奋斗精神作支撑的政党,是难以兴旺发达的。”今天我们重提艰苦奋斗,是在新的历史条件下,弘扬一种作风,提倡一种精神,开创一种境界。
