罗昌林1966年转业到重庆日报担任摄影记者,从事新闻摄影兼文字报道。1980年至1994年担任重庆日报摄影美术部副主任、主任、日报编委,1994年开始担任《重庆日报》副总编辑、重庆日报社副社长、《重庆晚报》总编辑。2001年底退居二线,任重庆日报报业集团正厅级巡视员,重庆晚报顾问。摄影/刘汪洋7月20日,重庆市渝中区解放西路66号,重庆日报社老办公大楼的一间办公室里,记者见到了原重庆日报社副社长、副总编辑罗昌林。就在这座大楼里,罗昌林在《重庆日报》工作了35个年头。办公室的两个书柜和近十多个堆放在房间的纸箱里,全部收集着罗昌林的摄影照片,那是他在《重庆日报》担任摄影记者的全部心血。那些照片,跟随《重庆日报》,记录了重庆这座城市的过往岁月和历史变迁。66岁的罗昌林,依然精神。翻阅当年的《重庆日报》,罗昌林依然记忆清晰—1963年2月12日出版的《重庆日报》,
Luo Changlin was rehired in 1966 to Chongqing Daily as a photojournalist for news photography and text reporting.
