在钻头刚要钻透零件的时候自动地减少进刀量,是防止钻头折断的有效方法。实现这个原理的装置如图1所示。在钻床主轴1内安装着中间有透孔的锥柄体2。在锥柄体圆柱壁部分的穿孔内,固定着滚珠5,这些滚珠从外部由在弹簧作用下的套图4的内锥面卡着。滚珠的内面与心轴6的锥面接触。在心轴的下端安装着带钻头8的夹头7,其上端则同锥柄体中孔(按滑配合)随意地结合着。可拆卸的挡圈10限制着心轴的向下移动。
