为了能使中华传统美德代代相传、发扬光大，使全社会的道德风尚提升到一个新的高度，从艾里克森发展理论出发，说明了在初中一年级进行中华传统美德教育的迫切性、必要性。指明实验研究的理论根据，并运用调查法，说明实施传统美德教育前的状况，进而提出思想政治课与学校德育工作及家庭教育相结合的实验研究的具体措施。阐明实验研究的终结成果，确认这一教育形式是较为合适的。
