According to a study by Scientia Horticulturae (2013.10.003), researchers from Northwest A & F University of China studied the role of ascorbic acid in enhancing hypoxia tolerance and hypoxia tolerance in roots of hypoxic-resistant apple rootstocks. Researchers studied the mechanism by which exogenous AsA enhances the hypoxia resistance and oxidative damage of susceptible and resistant roots of apple rootstocks Malussieversii and M.hupehensis. Although the hypoxia stress inhibited the root growth of the two rootstocks, the impact on the two rootstocks varied greatly. Under hypoxia stress, hypoxia
