近年来,随着我国海洋地质事业的发展,对于深海海洋第四纪的调查研究工作已引起不少中外学者的注意及着手探讨,但对于南海海盆第四纪地质的调查研究报道甚少.1980年,笔者有机会参加中美联合进行的南海海盆的地质-地球物理调查,并在美国拉蒙特-多尔蒂地质观察所提供的深海远洋调查船“维玛号”(Vema)上,使用重力活塞取样器在水深1034—3821米的海底,采集了7个岩芯样品,具体位置(图1).
In recent years, with the development of marine geology in our country, the investigation and study of the Quaternary in the deep-sea have attracted the attention and discussion of many Chinese and foreign scholars, but there are few reports on the Quaternary geology in the South China Sea. In the year, the author had the opportunity to participate in the geophysical-geophysical survey of the South China Sea Basin jointly conducted by China and the United States. On the deep-ocean oceanographic survey vessel Vema provided by the United States of America’s Lamont-Doherty Geological Observation, Piston sampler in the depth of 1034-3821 meters of the sea, collected seven core samples, the specific location (Figure 1).
