北京市昌平县百善公社牛房圈大队业余剧团,是在一九四九年土地改革运动中组织起来的。十五年来,在大队党支部领导下,努力贯彻党的文艺方针,保持自力更生、勤俭节约的革命传统,不断地培养新生力量,及时地克服与纠正了活动中的偏向与错误,使这个剧团获得健康的成长,为丰富群众文化生活作出了成绩。剧团从建立时起,吸收演员就贯彻了自愿参加,来者欢迎,去者欢送的原则。利用节假日和冬天夜间排戏,日常配合生产和政治运动,排练些快板、相声、歌曲等小型节目。因此,社员没有因为参加剧团活动而影响集体生产和家务劳动。并且强调了剧团演员是党的宣传员,应在劳动中起带头作用。
