1914年7月28日,第一次世界大战爆发,全球掀起了一场疯狂掠夺殖民地的战争。战火席卷欧、亚、非三大洲,导致许多国家硝烟弥漫,生灵涂炭。时至今日,战争已过去100年,或许有的人早已淡忘,可能还有些人根本没听说过。不过对一些人来说,这场战争是曾经的伤痛,是无法泯灭的记忆,因为对他们来说,一战不仅仅是一个历史名词。2014年7月(编注:本文写于2014年4月),世界将迎来第一次世界大战爆发100周年纪念日。我们为什么要记住这场战争?为什么要停下来思考很久以前发生的那些重大事件?
July 28, 1914, the outbreak of the First World War, the world set off a crazy predation of the colonial war. The war of arms swept through Europe, Asia and Africa on three continents, resulting in the smoldering of many countries and the exploitation of charcoal. Up to now, the war has passed for 100 years, and some people may have long forgotten. Some may have never heard of it before. For some, however, the war was a once-painful, unimaginable memory, for which World War I was not merely a historical noun. July 2014 (Editor’s note: This article was written in April 2014), the world will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I. Why do we remember this war? Why stop thinking about the big things that happened long ago?
