Two new oleanane triterpene saponins, named as anhuienside C (1) and D (2), were isolated from the rhizomes of Anemone anhuiensis (Ranunculaceae). The structures of the new compounds were elucidated as 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1→ 2)-β -D-xylopyranosyl oleanolic acid 28-O-b -D-glucopyranosyl (1→ 6)-b -D-glucopyranosyl ester (1) and 3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl oleanolic acid 28-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1→ 4)-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→6)-β-D-gluco-pyranosyl ester (2), respectively.
