1934年10月,“红小鬼”肖鹏依依不舍地离开了红土地,踏上漫漫长征路;新中国成立伊始,由肖鹏等人组成领导小组,成功改造了大名鼎鼎的民营企业——民生公司,受到党中央表彰;文革中,主持水产部全面工作的肖鹏受到围攻,周总理一声令下,把肖鹏等十几位共和国部长接到中南海保护起来;1986年9月,退居二线的肖鹏依然牵挂着亿万农民的健康,创建了中国农民体育协会,为提高中国农民的体质做出了重要贡献。
