1988年秋季,我们在冰岛西北部沿海的捕虾渔场中,利用商业拖网进行了囊网采用方形网目的网片试验。结果表明,方形网目的网片能急剧地降低捕捞。0—龄组小鱼,在很大程度上减少捕捞未达捕捞规格的小虾等副产品,因此,政府部门规定,虾拖若在这些渔场作业,必须使用方形网目的囊网。虽然虾拖采用方形网目的囊网会损失12—20％的虾获量,但是,因为小虾不能被利用,因而渔民们还是乐于接受。
In the fall of 1988, we conducted a commercial trial of net mesh using square mesh trawls in a shrimp fishery off the northwestern coast of Iceland. The results show that square mesh mesh can drastically reduce fishing. The 0-age group of small fish largely reduce the by-products such as shrimp that catch less than the fishing standard. Therefore, the government departments stipulate that if shrimp trawls work in these fishing grounds, they must use a square network. Although shrimp trawls use square mesh nets to lose 12-20% of shrimp harvest, fishermen are still happy to accept shrimp because they can not be used.
