减轻重量,延长寿命是当前汽车发展的重要目标。而热处理技术是达到这一目标的有效手段。此外热处理技术对改善金属的加工性能也是不可缺少的。最近二十年来汽车零件热处理技术虽有一定的进步,但主要还是在原有的基础上发展,提高了控制技术和控制精度,提高了机械化自动化水平,亦即提高了劳动生产率。七十年代以来对公害和节约能源方面,也给予了极大的注意。汽车零件的热处理必须与汽车大量流水生产相适应,自动化的生产线有更进一步的发展。从当前情况来看,国外汽车工业热处理技术水平主要表现在以下诸方面。
