禁令类公文是专用于禁止或制止机关单位或个人妨害国家、集体和人民利益行为的一类公文的总称。这是根据公文的内容、功用而划分出来的一个新的公文类群。禁令类公文的行文一般态度严肃,措词强硬,没有丝毫商量的余地,要求有关单位或人员坚决贯彻执行,具有较强的法定权威性和行政约束力,以达到令行禁止的目的。在现行的党政公文中,常用的文种主要有:命令、决定、公告、通告、通知、意见等几种。
