战斗机(又称歼击机)是用于在空中消灭敌方飞机和其他飞航式空袭兵器的作战飞机。其主要作战形式是空中格斗、夺取制空权,其次是拦截敌方轰炸机、强击机、侦察机和巡航导弹,也可执行对地攻击任务。战斗机自第一次世界大战面世以来,至今已有近80年的历史,经过无数次的战争洗礼和科技革命的冲击,现代战斗机已成为一种喷气式超音速全天候导弹载机,而且开始应用隐身技术。它以机炮与导弹为主要兵器,配以先进的机载火控系统,仍旧是未来战争中争夺制空权的主力。
Fighter jets (also known as fighters) are combat aircraft designed to destroy enemy aircraft and other air-launched air strike weapons in the air. The main form of combat is air fighting, seizing air power, followed by interception of enemy bomber, attack aircraft, reconnaissance aircraft and cruise missiles, but also the implementation of the ground attack mission. Since its launch in World War I, the fighter has been in existence for nearly 80 years. After numerous war baptisms and scientific and technological revolution, the modern fighter jet has become a jet supersonic all-weather missile carrier and has started to use stealth technology. Its main machine guns and missiles, with advanced airborne fire control system, is still the main force in the battle for airpower in the future war.
