凤尾菇是平菇的一个近缘种,归于担子菌纲、伞菌目、伞菌科、侧耳属。凤尾菇是近年来崛起的食用菌新秀,是一种营养丰富、美味可口,深受群众喜爱的高档蔬菜。凤尾菇比蘑菇、草菇、木耳等食用菌适应性更强,栽培方法简单易行,生长周期短,栽培场地要求不严,取材广泛,成本低、产量高、收效快,于每年3～6月、8～11月份进行栽培。一般1公斤干料可产新菇1.2公斤左右。利用林荫下栽培凤尾菇,对于提高林业经济效益、发展林业生产有很大的意义,是广大农村青年脱贫致富的好途径。
