近年来,一些美国独立石油公司由于发现其在国内经营越来越困难,便转向寻求国际机遇。那么如何才能走出国门并取得成功呢?首先,在进入一国之前必须综合分析该国的地质、经济和政治等方面的情况。其次,以适当的组织形式进入东道国。再次,在确定如何与东道国分享经济收益时,必须对东道国的税法进行研究以保证石油公司最大限度地用其支付给外国的所得税来抵免美国国内所得税。最后,应以公开的、易于被公众接受的形式制订合同条款。
In recent years, some United States independent oil companies have turned to seek international opportunities as they find it increasingly difficult to operate their businesses domestically. So how can we go abroad and succeed? First of all, before entering a country, we must comprehensively analyze the geological, economic and political aspects of the country. Second, enter the host country in the proper form of organization. Thirdly, in determining how to share the economic benefits with the host country, the tax laws of the host countries must be studied to ensure that the oil companies maximize their income taxes paid to foreign countries to offset US domestic income taxes. Finally, the terms of the contract should be established in an open and readily accepted form.
