努力办好地、市报,在我国是一件意义重大的事情。我国现有地、市报267家,就是说,半数以上地委市委有了自己办的报纸。数量之多,覆盖面之大,世界上大概是独一无二的。地、市报是当地党委的喉舌。也是当地人民的喉舌,衔接“上下”,沟通“左右”,结合当地实际宣传党的路线、方针、政策,报道带有“乡土气息”的先进人物、先进经验和工作中、社会上各种为人注目的问题。它的重大作用,在我们这个幅员广大、情况复杂的大国中,任何全国性甚至全省性报纸都不能代替。
