科学技术是第一生产力,社会主义的现代化建设事业首先需要科学技术的现代化。大力发展科学技术已成为我国的基本国策。我们不仅需要广大科技工作者在各自的领域奋发努力赶超世界一流水平,而且需要提高全体国民的科学文化素质。唯有科学知识得以普及、科学精神深入人心,我们的社会才算真正走入了科学时代,科技才能真正推动各个方面的现代化。
Science and technology are primary productive forces. The socialist modernization drive first requires the modernization of science and technology. Vigorously developing science and technology has become China’s basic national policy. We not only need vast numbers of scientific and technological workers to work hard in their respective fields to catch up with world-class standards but also need to raise the scientific and cultural qualities of all the people. Only when scientific knowledge can be popularized and the scientific spirit enjoys popular support will our society really enter the scientific era, and science and technology can really push forward the modernization of all aspects.
