潮州歌,或称潮州歌文,也有人称为潮州俗曲,是流行于广东省旧潮州府属九县和邻近一带潮州语区域地方的一种古老相传的民间说唱文学。由于种种原因,潮州歌一直未被文学研究者和文学史家所重视,古籍文献研究人员对传世的潮州歌印本也多不屑一顾,因而少见叙及,各家官私书目中也颇难获见一二,致使这类印本沉睡大库之中,无人知晓。最近笔者在整理天津图馆书普通线装书时从中检出潮州歌印本123种,126部,
Chaozhou song, or Chaozhou song, also known as Chaozhou folk song, is popular in the old Chaozhou prefecture of Guangdong Province and nine counties near the area along the Chaozhou language, an ancient legend of folk rap literature.
