作者根据辽宁东部山区的自然历史、社会条件及次生林的特点,讨论了国内外林学家划分山地森林的原则,认为可应用苏氏林型学说,综合考虑地型、土壤、植物群落及社会条件等因子,来具体划分次生林林型。在次生林型分类士可采用植被区、垂直植被带、林型组及林型等四级系统,用地形、植被及优势树种三名法命名。
