The Department of Pediatrics of the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Qingdao University was founded in 1900. It has employed many German and Japanese outstanding medical officers and a doctor of medicine as its leader. After more than 100 years of development, it has become the strongest pediatrics department in Shandong Peninsula. The Department of Pediatrics was set up in 1978, and it became a master’s degree authorization point in 1993. It became a doctorate authorization point in 2005, and has trained a large number of outstanding paediatricians in Shandong Province.
