人们已经认识到城市是复杂的“大系统”。新城市的设计已远远超出单纯的土建范畴,涉及多学科的广泛领域。美国早已运用系统工程方法设计新城市,积累了许多经验。1985年以来。我国也成立了“首都系统工程研究中心”,开始这方面的探索。可以预料,这一先进方法亦将在我国推广。为此,我们根据美国弗吉尼亚大学J.E.Gibson教授的专著编译此文,扼要说明美国运用系统方法设计新城市的过程,略去某些建筑设计的细节和艰涩的计算公式。也许能帮助城市规划和建筑工作者了解这一思路并用之于实践。
People have realized that the city is a complex “big system.” The design of the new city has gone far beyond pure civil engineering and involves a wide range of disciplines. The United States has long used system engineering methods to design new cities and has accumulated a lot of experience. Since 1985. China has also established the “Capital System Engineering Research Center” to begin exploration in this area. It can be expected that this advanced method will also be promoted in our country. For this purpose, we compile this article according to the monograph of Prof. J.E. Gibson of the University of Virginia. We shall briefly explain the process of designing a new city using the systematic method of the United States, and omit the details and difficult calculation formulas of certain architectural designs. It may help urban planning and construction workers understand this idea and use it for practice.
