Fallacy 1: In order to gain energy, athletes should eat pasta and banned candy. Fact: There is no difference. Simple carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates can be broken down into glucose, and then be absorbed by the blood circulation system. The circulatory system brings glucose into the liver and brain, or consumed, or stored. Fallacy 2: Eating retail makes you fat. Fact: All food can be part of a balanced diet and proper intake is the key. Sugar, like most foods, provides the body with a variety of essential nutrients. For example, a piece of chocolate provides three macronutrients, namely carbohydrates, fats and proteins, as well as micronutrients including vitamin B, vitamin E, calcium, iron and magnesium. Fallacy 3: Candy excite children too much.
