The development of optical fiber communication, the related protocols and standards, the composition of the system, the development of various technologies and the impact on the ultra-high speed integrated circuit are briefly described. The working principle and circuit technology of the key integrated circuit in the optical fiber transmission system are described. Discussed the direction of China’s development of ultra-high speed integrated circuits.
