2007年艺术家艾未未向瑞士一家艺术基金会申请3000万资金成功,用于组织1001位中国人免费到德国观看《第十二届卡塞尔文献展》,1001把中国明清坐椅“散布在卡塞尔展馆、博物馆、商场里,1001个中国人在卡塞尔和卡塞尔以外的城市游荡。是本届展览中成本最高的作品,作品《童话》其名称对应着格林童话这一历史话题。
