在厚皮甜瓜生产中,掌握好成熟瓜的标准,适时采收,是提高商品质量的关键措施之一。采收过早,果实含糖量低,香味差,有时甚至有苦味;采收过晚,果肉组织分解变绵软,甚至发酵,含糖量降低,风味变劣,更不耐贮运。根据作者试验观察和生产实践,现将厚皮甜瓜成熟瓜的一般标准和采收适期简述如下: 一、果实外表呈现固有特征不同品种幼果表皮颜色不同,多呈绿色、深绿或淡绿,随着果实的发育,果皮颜包逐渐由绿变黄或变白,或出现明显的网纹、棱沟等。有的品种,如伊丽莎白等,有浓郁的香味。
