曾在北京市第22中学读书的庄则栋,自1956年开始学习我国乒坛名将“两面攻”的打法后,从北京市少年冠军、成年冠军一直打到全国冠军,六十年代更是连续三次夺得世界冠军。从那以后,他被冠上大大小小各种头衔,“文革”中还担任了部长级的国家体委主任,成为灸手可热的明星人物。1976年“文革”结束,庄则栋被罢了官,后来又被开除了党籍,他一下子从人们的视野里消失,仿佛销声匿迹了。
