鞍鋼第三炼鋼厂20号和22号平炉,原設計为370吨,目前实际装入量为400吨。采用废钢矿石法冶炼,废鋼比30％,铁水由1300吨的混铁炉供应。以混合煤气为燃料(焦炉煤气和发生炉煤气)。炉頂以国产鎂铝磚砌筑,主炉頂磚前坡长520毫米,后坡长460毫米。磚間留有脹縫,采用止推式吊挂。 20号炉炉頂自1963年9月20日大修完开炉后,历經一年零八个月,587天,四个小修周期后,于1965年5月3日停炉拆換,共冶炼了1210炉。22号炉比20号炉稍长些,亦經四个小修周期,共冶炼了1278炉,先后創大型固
