职务犯罪是指国家机关工作人员和依照法律从事公务的人员,非法占有公共财物、非法挪用公款、非法收受或索取他人财物以及渎职侵权的一种危害行为。近年来,职务犯罪涉及到各行各业,其数量之多,数额之大,涉案人员之广,为建国来所罕见,如烟草行业,每年的立案数都达数百件。由此可见,职务犯罪已经成为腐败现象中的突出的问题。党和国家历来重视反腐败斗争,一直把反腐败作为党和国家的兴衰和社会稳定、事关党心民心的一项重要工作来抓。在严厉打击腐败的同时,加强了预防职务犯罪工作的实施,力求源头上遏制和减少腐败。各行各业,特别是一些利税大户,更应从源头抓起,常抓不懈,才能保证和促进行业的健康发展。一、要充分认识到加强预防职务犯罪工作的重要性1.预防职务犯罪工作是落实江泽民同志“三个代表”重要思想的具体体现。“三个代表”重要思想是在总结我们党长期奋斗的经验和社会主义实践的基础
