金钱白花蛇为眼镜蛇科动物银环蛇Bung-arus multicinctus multicinctus Blyth的干燥体。我们最近从安徽毫州购进的金钱白花蛇,经鉴定为游蛇科动物黑背白环蛇L.ruhstrati(Fischer)经加工的干燥体,外观与金钱白花蛇极相似,应予以区别。金钱白药蛇本品呈圆盘状,盘径为3～5cm,蛇身直径为0.3～0.5cm,头盘于中央,尾部纳入口中。头部椭圆形,稍大于颈,有前沟牙,眼小,鼻鳞2,鼻孔椭圆形,位于两鳞之间,鼻孔开口朝向两侧,无颊鳞,上唇
