芥川龙之介(1892~1927)可以说是日本大正时代具有代表性的小说家之一。二十世纪前半期,他与夏目漱石、森欧外三人一起被称为日本文坛的三大巨匠。而他的代表作之一《地狱变》,从大正7年5月1日到22日一直被连载刊登在《大阪每日报纸》上。《地狱变》作为芥川历史小说的代表作之一,受到了日本文坛作家的追捧。正宗百鸟曾经说过,“就我说阅读的书籍来说,我会毫不犹豫地推荐芥川的《地狱变》,这无疑是他最杰出的代表作之一。对明治维新以来的日本文学史来说,《地狱变》仍是大放异彩的杰作。”
Akutagawa Ryunosuke (1892 ~ 1927) can be said to be one of the representative novelists in Japan’s Taisho era. In the first half of the twentieth century, he was known as the three great masters of the Japanese literary world together with Natsume Soseki and Samio. One of his masterpieces, “Hell Transformation,” was serialized in the Osaka Daily Newspaper from May 1 to July 22, Taisho.
